Good bye to Alan Bigham

Voluntary Action said goodbye to Alan Bigham, Joint Chief Officer, on the 3rd of October as he moves to a post in NHS Quality Improvement Scotland. Alan had been with VA since March 2006, initially as Voluntary Sector Development Manager.

"I've enjoyed my time here at VA and have learned a lot. There's a good team of very confident and competent staff here who are taking significant strides in developing their projects, the profile of VA and promoting the value of the voluntary sector."

"Having worked in both a Council for the Voluntary Sector and Volunteer Centre in the past, the approach that VA takes to it's work in local communities attracted me and my time here reinforced that it is a very effective vehicle for the development of the sector."

Alan passes on his best wishes to all the organisations, volunteers and partner agencies he had the opportunity to work with during his time in East Renfrewshire.
