Health Education Board for Scotland

Health Scotland is a new special health board established on 1 April 2003 which bring the Public Health Institute of Scotland (PHIS) together with the Health Education Board for Scotland (HEBS). It focuses on improving health and reduces inequalities in Scotland.


NHS Direct

The NHS Direct site is pathway to health information and covers the most common symptoms which people call NHS Direct about for advice. It also allows you to search for your nearest Doctors, Opticians, Dentists and Pharmacies.


Scottish Health on the Web (SHOW)

The site provides main access point for a range of NHS Scotland services and resources online.


Community Health

CHEX is part of the Community Development Foundation and operates within the Scottish Community Development Centre. It exists as an agency in Scotland's health sector to support community health initiatives in engaging with policy makers.
