To be achieved by:
- Assist new and existing volunteering opportunities, and voluntary organisations to develop
- Build skills, confidence, knowledge, experience and networks
- Support community learning, development and enterprise
*Social Capital is the skills, knowledge, experience, confidence and
networks of individuals in order to provide a social benefit.
**The social economy is part of the non-profit sector that can generate an income and/or deliver an economic benefit.

Raise the Voluntary Voice
To be achieved by:
- Provide information and support for people to come together around common issues
- Remove barriers to participation and promote inclusion
- Ensure effective representation in decision-making (locally & nationally)

Continuously improve and review the management of Voluntary Action
To be achieved by:
- Invest in VA's committee, staff and volunteers
- Secure and maintain adequate levels of funding, resources and
equipment to meet the ongoing needs of the organisation and achieve the
desired outcomes
- Develop and maintain relevant monitoring and evaluation procedures, ensure commitment to quality and celebrate success
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and legislation
