Charity Accounting

The Association of Charity Independent Examiners (ACIE) is running courses in Independent Examination (IE = external scrutiny of the annual accounts of smaller charities) during the autumn and early 2007 in Glasgow. There are three different levels of courses, depending on people's experience and understanding, aimed at both volunteers and professionals. This is a key time for charity accounting in Scotland with new regulations in operation from 1 April 2006, including the extension of IE as an option for charities with incomes of up to £500,000.
