There are loads of opportunities for young people to volunteer in
East Renfrewshire. The Please Stand Up project exists to make sure that
young people are aware of these, and that they are involved in
developing new opportunities in areas that interest them.
Whether you fancy being a befriender, working with children, helping
out with charity events, becoming an IT tutor - or a whole host of
other opportunities - Voluntary Action can help you find something that
suits your needs. If you're 16-25, we'll register you for a national MV
award, where you'll get accreditation for the number of hours you spend
volunteering and a certificate when you reach 50,100 or 200 hours.

Voluntary Action also run one project specifically for 16-25 year
olds - the MnM (Media and Millenium) Project. MnM provides
opportunities for young people to learn skills in film-making, website
design, graphic design and digital photography, then use those skills
to help community groups with media projects.
