Case study 1 - Neilston Space to Live

In March 2004, a new community organisation Neilston: Space to Live came into being. Pauline Gallacher declared: "We needed guidance as to how to take our plans forward. VA came to the rescue with friendly advice about our constitution, charitable status, business planning - not to speak of the loan of display boards!...The great thing about VA is that it's there with the specific task of supporting people like us - this isn't about favours it's about a well organised, well resourced service which members have the right to access.
